Guidance from a father who's been through it — and won full custody.
11 years. Full custody. Both sides of the courtroom.
I've sat in family court with a solicitor and without one. I've filed my own statements, cross-examined witnesses, and navigated a system that felt designed to overwhelm me. It wasn't easy. There were nights I didn't sleep, mornings I didn't know how to carry on. But I did. And today, my daughter is with me — full time. I built this site because I wish something like it had existed when I was starting out. Not a law firm. Not a helpline. Just someone who had been through it, who could say: here's what I learned, here's what helped, here's what I'd do differently.
A father. A litigant in person. 11 years of family court experience.
— The LiP Father
Built from real experience, not textbooks.
Step-by-step guides on court forms, position statements, witness statements, and what to expect at each type of hearing. Written in plain English, from someone who has done it.
A safe, moderated space for parents, grandparents, and wider family members to share experiences, ask questions, and support each other through the process.
Sometimes you just need to talk to someone who gets it. I offer personal guidance sessions — not legal advice, but the kind of honest, practical support I wish I'd had.
You are not alone
Whether you're a parent, a grandparent, or a family member trying to support someone through the courts — this is a place where you'll be understood. No judgement. No jargon. Just people who know what it's like.
Free to join. A safe space for all family members.
Everything on this site comes from my personal experience navigating the UK family court system over 11 years. It is not legal advice, and it should not be treated as such. Family law is complex, and every case is different. Please always consult a qualified solicitor for advice specific to your situation. What I offer is support, perspective, and the kind of guidance that only comes from having lived it.
